Hi Friends!

It just dawned on me that I haven’t checked in since 2024… Happy New Year to everyone, I hope January is treating you all well.

I have had the busiest 23 days of my life… and that is not an exaggeration. Somehow I got sick with the same wave of symptoms twice, and the fact that I am so stubborn and continued to ski and exert myself during this time period didn’t necessarily aid in the healing process. So, I was sick for the last 2 weeks of December, got better for 3 days, and then was sick for the first 2 weeks of January.

During this seemingly never ending stint of a cold/flu/whatever the hell this was, I also moved… (I’ve gotten seriously good at packing up my life and heading from place to place in the last 2 years- I don’t know if this should be a talent I’m proud of though). This current space I’m in is temporary, which means I will hilariously be moving again. But right now, I am on the hunt for an apartment that ticks all of my boxes while my boyfriend so graciously reaps the benefits of now having a furnished apartment, and somehow is lucky enough to have me bother him 24/7 while he tries to get his work done (if you’re reading this you are so welcome :) xo! ).

In addition to the above, this month will go down as my busiest work month of my whole freelance career thus far, which I am so so grateful for. I partnered with so many new, and reoccurring brands this month and truly feel so re-inspired for the direction I want to take my work in.

Somehow with everything going on, I managed to slip away for a night for a girls trip at Kee’s and Claire hut in the Whistler backcountry. We ski-toured, ate, laughed, took copious amounts of photos and spent quality girl time which was one of my notes to myself on my 2025 goals list.

Another goal of mine for 2025 (I am going to write a whole separate spiel on this) was to get dressed more often, with the second part being to capture said outfits. Although my job, in 2024 I felt I was heavily lacking in the outfit photo department compared to 2023. This almost made me feel a little bit sad, as I love using my own outfit photos as a collection of ideas and inspiration to make it fun shopping my own closet (I encourage others to do this also), and I felt as though I deprived myself of that source of inspiration. I am off to an alright start… as everything I listed above was consuming my mind, but I’m really making it a goal to not leave this on the back burner and ensure it’s a priority.

Here are some of my first outfits of the year:

Comfortable, easy, effortless, chic dressing remains in 2025.

Links from Left to Right, top to bottom:

  1. Uncle Studios Sweater, Khaite belt, A.P.C. bag, Beams boy jeans, Sezane boots, Dorsey chains.

  1. Full Rag & Bone Look; jacket, pants, bag, boots.

  2. Sandro jacket, Aritzia hoodie, Reformation jeans, Camper loafers, Le.Febour bag

  3. Almada label sweater, A.P.C. bag, Citizens cargos, Salomon goretex XT-6

  4. My new obsession- this Goldwin jacket, Uncle Studios jeans, camper loafers

  5. Moving day look- an old Aritzia flannel, Jesse Kamm jeans, The Row boots.

Somehow though, in the busiest month of my life, I have also managed to rack up the most expensive Amex bill of my life (I bought new tires for my car, and hired a moving company… not sure why this is a surprise to me). Conscious purchasing was also on my 2025 goals list… and I will say it with my chest that I believe (almost) all of these were conscious and justifiable.
