My 10 Favourite Purchases of 2024
+ a few gifted favourites at the bottom
At the end of 2023, I thought it would be extremely fun to round up my 10 favourite purchases from the year (except there were actually 11). I was patiently waiting for 2024 to come to a close, so I could do the exact same thing for this year.
I decided to create these lists based off of purchases I made with my own coin for 2 reasons.
#1: Being an “influencer” means constantly getting to test new products, new clothing, new everything. I am so so so incredibly grateful for this aspect of my job, truly. However, with this perk, over the last year or so I’ve noticed my once very prominent love of shopping slightly diminishing. There is just something so exciting about longing and lusting for a product/clothing item. Scouring the internet for it, adding it onto your wish list and then finally buying it and having it in your possession. That is precisely WHY I love shopping so much: The research that goes into each and every purchase that you’ve decided is worth spending your money on.
To build on the above, I am adding a list of gifted items I received this year, that if god forbid my house caught on fire, I would buy without hesitation. Thank you, seriously, from the bottom of my heart to everyone/every brand that deemed me worthy to test their products this year, I appreciate you all so so much; you make this job possible, and the most enjoyable. xo
#2: I’m nosy, and I love knowing what other people spend their hard earned cash on.
So, with that being said and in absolutely no particular order. Here are my 10 Favourite Purchases of 2024 (video version here) that I bought with my own coin:
#1 DMY by DMY Bibi Sunglasses (DMY official is the company name now)
The perfect everyday sunglasses. Perfect shape, perfect size, perfect fit. Just perfect.
#2 Dr Loretta Gentle Hydrating Cleanser
I purchased this cleanser in January of 2024. I stopped using it in ~June of 2024 and decided I wanted to test the waters with some other cleansers (this was a terrible idea), and once I got my shit together (ever so slightly), I went back on Dr Loretta in November of 2024. This is the healthiest, and brightest my skin has looked since… June of 2024 (notice the pattern here).
The best, and I mean the BEST, hiking, technical, all around pant I have ever owned. Praying for a Spring restock, as I will be buying all colour ways.
I have a little bit of a perfume problem. There is no better compliment to me, than someone telling me that I smell good. This prompts that line quicker than any other fragrance I’ve ever owned.
The best white t-shirt I've ever owned. I am donating all of my other white t-shirts. Do you need more of an explanation than that?
The slip-on, slip-off, comfy, weird, unique, aesthetic, fashionable shoe of my dreams. Purchased for easy on-off access when starting and ending a day of skiing, but have quickly become one of my favourite shoes to style with more elevated pants, like trousers.
Purchased 15 times this year. Constantly burning in my house. Gifted to a few loved ones. Truly the best candle I have ever smelt. Kind of makes your house smell like a deliciously musky-cinnamon bun… if that makes sense (it probably doesn’t but just trust me).
Life changing (to me), and I mean that. The most quenched my lips have ever felt, and I only need to apply once in the morning, and once at night.
#9 Pink Bottega Intrecciato (medium size I think) Bag from Vestiaire Co.
I can’t link my exact purchase since I bought second hand, but there are hundreds on the market. An amazing everyday bag, and such a fun pop of colour to my otherwise very neutral wardrobe.
#10 Aritzia Boyfriend Boxy Zip Up
One of the most worn pieces in my closet, and debatably one of the most transitional pieces I own. Great with trousers, jeans, workout clothes, to throw over PJS. You name it, this sweatshirt works with the outfit.

How do you feel about the neck line on the ok to rest shirts? I am also on the hunt for a great tee but find all of the neck likes too tight.
