This past week I had the absolute pleasure of taking a trip to Galiano island with the lovely team at Merge. The week consisted of some of the best company, laid-back outfits, good wine, possibly the best cup of coffee I’ve ever had, and creative magic.
There are very few things that make me happier, then when business and pleasure mix so naturally.
The SS24 campaign was shot at the coziest, brightest, most island-esque AirBnB I have ever stayed in. The wooden accents, natural lighting, and ocean-front views made for the perfect photo backdrop, and post-shoot relaxation zone. This AirBnB won me over not with its picturesque architecture, but with whatever brand of mattress I slept on. If you’ve spoken to me within the last 3 days, you know that I cannot shut up about how comfortable that bed was.

Usually, when I’m working I’m every piece to the puzzle. However, for this shoot my only role was model. I am so grateful I got to experience this for a few reasons:
There is truly nothing more fascinating to me, than seeing someones creative vision come to life.
Watching someone else’s thought process in action is SO mesmerizing to me. Seeing the planning, mood boards and shot lists written from another perspective creates a beautiful reflection on your own work, and an appreciation for theirs.
You are forever learning from other people.
The photos were shot by the insanely talented, Cristina. Val, and Emma from Merge were the creative geniuses behind the shoot. Three days with these ladies left my cup overflowing. I am so thankful I had the opportunity to spend time chatting, working, and unwinding with them.
We all know I’m a t-shirt and jeans girl. The Merge hemp tees & tanks have been favourites in my collection for the past two years, and let me tell you that these new colours are outstanding. I’m sure you can take a guess which one my favourite is, but I was blown away when I saw how these new shades of pink, blue and yellow pop in person.

I had so much fun playing around with chunky silver accessories and “girlier” clothing pieces. I often stray away from skirts in my everyday wardrobe (I think I own 2, total), as I prefer the feel of pants, however skirts really add an elevated, magical feel to certain outfits that cannot be beat.
Styling brings me SO much creative excitement. I’m sure my Mom can attest that I was always the kid playing dress up, and changing at a minimum 4x per day. It makes me giddy that this is now a part of my job.

Being on Galiano this week was the largest treat. Whenever I visit the island I always come back home feeling more balanced, and with a warm and fuzzy feeling inside.
Hope you all have a lovely weekend x
