It’s no secret that Fall is my ALL TIME favourite season to dress for. Seriously… nothing gets me frothing at the mouth more (fashion wise) than a good pair of jeans paired with an oversized jacket.
Each Fall I do my due diligence and scour the internet (day and night for numerous weeks) to create the perfect Fall wish list & wardrobe inspiration.
A note before we begin:
I really have a bone to pick with videos/posts/articles titled: “Trends you need to follow this Fall”, “What cool girls are wearing this Fall”, “5 pieces you need in your wardrobe this Fall”. You catch my drift here. You do not need to buy anything you don’t feel a full-body gravitational pull towards, follow any trends that don’t align with your personal style, and NO, I repeat no article of clothing is going to make you more or less “cool” than you already are.
We can fully dive into this topic at a later date if you’re interested in picking my brain about it more (I have a lot of things to say about this… lol).
Buy what you LIKE, what you’ll ACTUALLY wear, and know that you’re cool no matter what you’re wearing. This “wish list” is merely here for styling support, outfit ideas, and possibly adding pieces into closet that will last you a lifetime.
With that said… lo and behold, my 2024 Fall Mood Board.
All season shifts begin with a good Pinterest session for me. Saving looks I think are interesting and achievable. I use this as a time to really understand why I like something (is it the shape, colour, style?) and move forward from there. Truthfully I don’t really have a method to this madness, I save everything that catches my eye and then I refine it at a later date. Here’s some inspo that’s passed the test, and made itself a part of my Fall Mood Board.
Like I said… suede, denim and leather; the fall trifecta.
Consistently, I find myself gravitating towards these 3 materials every Fall season… with sprinkles of canvas and nylon here and there. Oversized silhouettes, slouchy bags, browns and blues. A true Fall dream.
My initial hunt for Fall clothing has mostly consisted of Jackets, denim and bags. I am quite a routine dresser, as you know, so anything that can compliment my jeans & a white tee uniform is always welcome.
